New Board Members Confirmed by the New Mexico Senate

Two members of the board of directors of the New Mexico Small Business Investment Corporation were confirmed by the New Mexico State Senate during the 57th Legislative Session in January, 2025. Kristina Alley and Joshua Grassham were both approved as board members.

Kristina Alley

By statute, NMSBIC board members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. Ms. Alley was appointed by Governor Lujan Grisham at the end of 2023, and Mr. Grassham was appointed in early 2024. Both were confirmed to serve on the board of the NMSBIC by the New Mexico Senate during the 2025 New Mexico Legislative Session.

Alley and Grassham have extensive financial backgrounds. Kristina Alley is a partner at Santa Fe Advisors, LLC located in Santa Fe. Joshua Grassham is Chief Credit Officer at Lea County State Bank in Hobbs. The two join other members of the board who were confirmed in previous legislative sessions, including Board Chair and President Joshua Smith, Vice Chair and Vice President Anne Beckett, Secretary/Treasurer Robert Valdiviez, and member-at-large Sayuri Yamada. New Mexico State Treasurer Laura M. Montoya also serves on the board by statute.
